My child's art teacher at our public school was using this material during class. The kids seemed to really enjoy this particular activity, so I bought my own roll to play with at home. It's good quality, easy to use and there's plenty of it, for a reasonable price.

This was for preschool -1 Graders. At Easter, we cut the material in the shape of a cross. I used a pencil to make scallop indentsaround the edges, wrote He is Risen in the middle and etched some hearts and lines/dot indents. The children could have decorated but I had a time constraint. They spent over a half hour coloring it with permanent markers (darker colors are better). I had parents ask me where to buy this. Not one cut or nick on any fingers. I put a small magnetic dot to put on fridge. My granddaughter's is still on mommy's fridge! We also did a shape of a house at home and my granddaughter etched and colored her own design. LOVE this unique medium to do art with.

This metal foil sheet has a great value but for the project I intended to use it for, it didn't work well. It is too tick or too maleable compared to Walnut Hollow 40-Gauge Metal Roll. I am sure I will use it for some other projects but not for this one (covering a picture frame decorated with a baby name and other doodles).

As a mixed media artist, I love this brand of foil. It allows me to emboss without losing the color.They make the Aluminum (silver both sides) in 36 guage; all the colors are offered in 38 guage only, which is a bit thinner (the lower the number, the thicker the foil). I emboss the foil using simple embossing tools -- sometimes the best tool is an old ball point pen. I also run cut sections through my Cuttlebug machine, using the embossing folders. It works the same as it does on paper and the effects are wonderful.
