Your cart is empty.A handy, smaller version of professional 12" scales, this scale is great for students and professionals on the go. With smooth edges and a solid feel, this scale ensures smooth and accurate measuring and inking. The anodized finish gives a satin-like feel, while the photo anodized calibrations are resistant to cleaners and will not clean or rub off.

This is my second one. I would recommend to anyone needing a small convenient pocket sized scale. The last one lasted a few years before the numbers began to fade making it a little hard to read. I drilled a small hole in one end, put a ring through the hole and attached it to a retractable lanyard. This way I can keep it in my vest pocket with my pens and pencils and the lanyard keeps it from falling out when I bend down to grab fittings from the ground.

Works as an architects scale for scaling prints, which is exactly what I wanted it for. The color is useful because I can tell the difference between it and my engineering scale at a glance. Solid aluminum. Fits in a pencil bag or case. Works when you don't really want to carry around a full size scale.

I bought a few of these and gave all but one away as gifts to fellow foreman. It matches the 12β version great, but this is really handy to carry around and though I need bifocals itβs great for quick QC measurements and everyone appreciated them. They do look sharp.

This is slim and easy to carry...also easy to lose. I find it too difficult to read the marks and rarely use it.

Sturdy and very compact however it is convenient. I love the color, I got blue. Numbers are easy to read, even for being so small

I use this all the time to take with me anywhere where I might have to measure anything on scaled drawings. I'm a design professional and this is part of my standard traveling tool kit.It came in a little plastic tube with a cap - that would help to keep it scratch-free if I kept it in there, but I'm in the habit of just tossing it in my bag or tucking it in a shirt pocket. These do get scratched up eventually if you don't keep them in their little tubes - I've had a few of them and end up having to replace them every few years because they start to get scratched too much to read, or an edge gets too badly nicked. They last longer than plastic ones though - I've broken several of those over the years by dropping them. At least with these metal ones I can recycle them at my town's scrap metal drop off when they wear out. This is tiny - 6 inches long and about as thick as a pencil. That makes it convenient for taking along to meetings, keeping in a pocket, etc. That's why it's called "Pocket Architect's Scale" in the description! I have a full-size matching blue Alumicolor 12 inch long scale too. That's the one I keep on my desk and use on a more regular basis - it's true that the markings and numbers are easier to read on the larger one. It's a lot heavier though and wouldn't be so convenient to carry around.

This is a very neat, but small, scale. I didn't realize how small it is before I ordered. It's actually a little too small for me to use but it's so neat I had to keep it.
