It sounds okay, but it's much slimmer than expected which makes keeping a seal around the mouthpiece very difficult. More worrying, however, is that when I opened up the Amazon packaging, I found the product's box already opened and a piece of protective foam seemingly stuffed inside very hastily. The bags containing the different components of the mouthpiece look like the tops were ripped open or something - again, before I had done anything to it.

I brought a 5 opening and its definitely harder to get a note out but, with the right reed it does have a better sound then my plastic mouthpiece.

I’m a beginner saxophonist and have been trying to switch to a different mouthpiece, I came across this one and thought it would be a great buy, turns out it’s really hard to even make a sound, ofcourse this could just be my own problem, but since you can get a better mouthpiece for relatively the same price, it don’t think it’s worth it at the slightest, like I said, I can’t make any sound with it, and I’ve tried with 2 different sized reeds, it just doesn’t work.

I just wanted a gold metal alto sax mouthpiece that looks good and plays well. This mouthpiece meets and exceeds those requirements at an incredible price. Paired with a Fibracell 3.0 reed, my sax plays like a dream with excellent tone quality. Playing the bottom end is a breeze. Easily comparable with similar $300+ mouthpieces in all respects. With free returns, there's no risk if you don't like it. You won't regret giving this mouthpiece a try. The negative reviews probably had a too-wide tip opening. I ordered a 5c, and it plays easily. I'm no expert, but for me this mouthpiece is an incredible value.

Bought this for my alto, was surprised with it's tone and responsiveness. Adapted to it quickly but some work to do on my end. I was very curious given the price but very pleased. I may have jumped the gun in that this is a copper lacquer, not the gold or standard brass, but a very decent mouthpiece.
