I am a fan of the tuck away seat. No set to buckle, no magnets to hold seat in place, it was the hidden seat that made me buy the vest. Plus the back support when your sitting on the ground, not always a tree available when turkey hunting. So the vest is designed well and functional.

After one full Vermont Fall hunting season with frequent use from September through December, 2023, this vest has proved to be:Made of very noisy fabric when moving while shifting weight, and/or, brushing up against branches, briars snags and gear.Poorly constructed. Several seams have ripped out where they are attached to adjustment straps and have required field repairs twice.The zip off seat could be better designed. It is difficult to access the zipper while wearing the vest and the zipper tends to come unzipped when hanging down loosely against your backside (I lost mine twice). Not much padding either, where you need it for a long sit when waiting on a reluctant Tom to close the distance and come into range.There are several adjustable straps which does allow for a good fit over outer layers as weather conditions change throughout the day and the season. There is ample space, compartments and pockets to hold and organize your gear. The stake-pocket is a nice touch, though it’d be very helpful to include a pouch for a hydration bladder also.Would I buy another one of these hunting vests from Alps or, recommend that you buy one: my answer would be, “no.”

I bought both sizes of this vest. This youth size fits my son that is 5'5 and about 100lbs. If you are bigger than this, get the full size. The biggest difference in the two vests are the pocket size is smaller on the youth model and the seat has a magnet and is considerably larger on the full size vest. The vest is very adjustable to get the right feel on your shoulders and placement of pockets.

While this is not the latest version of this vest, this one is perfect for me. I like all of the features, lots of pockets, and the bag is adjustable and can carry my decoys, extra seat cushion and stakes. The straps are functional, adjustable and quiet. This is a great vest.
