I recently bought this catcher’s gear for my 8-year-old daughter, and while I can’t say enough good things about the quality, it’s definitely too big for her. The padding is thick and protective, the material feels durable, and the design is super sleek. However, despite all the great features, the gear is a bit oversized for a younger player. The chest protector is bulky, and the shin guards almost swallow her legs. While she’s able to wear it, she struggles to move around as freely as she should, which affects her comfort and performance on the field. I’d definitely recommend this set for older players or those who are bigger than average for their age. For an 8-year-old girl, I think we’re going to need to look for something a little smaller next time. Still, I’m confident it will be perfect when she grows into it!
