I knew for the price and from reading other reviews (and the price point) that this is a cheaper bit. I was not surprised that the engraved part had sharp points but I was disappointed that areas in contact with the horse's mouth also needed filing down before use.This bit fits my needs (seeing if my horse likes this style mouthpiece before purchasing a higher end bit) but buyers need to feel all over for sharp points before use.

This bit rusts terribly. I contacted the seller, who told me this was normal with sweet iron. I followed their instructions to clean it. This is my horses mouth after use and cleaning, literally stained from the rust.

I’ve used this but for several years now. My horse loves this bit especially the copper rollers. I let a friend borrow this bit to see if her horse liked it better and her horse also liked this bit and rode twice as good. Now my friend is on the hunt to find this bit for herself. Would recommend!

Only used 1 time before the trim piece on the right shank started to come off. very sharp point now sticks out

This is a beautiful bit for a great price. This has become my go to bit for the 5 horses I ride. They all seem to like it and it has been a fabulous transition bit.
