I only ordered this brand due to it being able to be delivered next morning by 8am. The part seems to be working, but when plugging in the electrical connector it was hard to push in and never felt it seat. Now I can't pull off the connector off. Hopefully it will work until Spring. (no garage). Then I'll replace it with an OEM brand.

While the part felt fine the seal is not the correct size and differs from oem in certain spots not allowing it to fully push in on the bottom. Its a good gamble but now i need to do the job twice.

This is a very very easy install that anyone can replace on their own.I found that the diaphragm on my stock device had failed and caused a vacuum leak in the engine. (I did this using a smoke tester) Once that was verified I ordered this part to replace it. I immediately found that this stopped all vacuum leak related misfires in the engine and my gas milage returned to normal. There are only two torx bolts holding this part in so it's a quick install since it's on the top of the engine and doesn't require the removal of anything else. You can however remove the air intake for a little more room if you wish.

My intake manifold was SHOT!! I drove it like that for months dreading the repair cost. Then I started doubting the $2500 BMW estimates and decided that I needed the gas milage back in my car.Looked for and found the part here on Amazon. Took all of 15 minutes to install it and BAM! Works great! However, buy the air intake boot for your car when you DIY this as it will get leaks and cause your car to misfire like crazy and even go into limp mode. You pretty much can’t change one without changing the other, I knew this and tried it ANYWAY!!! It didn’t work and caused a nightmare amount of problems THAT ONLY GET WORSE.So in closing:Great part!! I recommend this if your on a budget and can’t afford the $2500 repair cost from BMW. It’s straight forward install makes it easily something a novice mechanic could replace. Just make sure you buy the air intake boot as well. Trust me on that…Good luck!

Too big but they say it's an exact fit. It's also made in China. China is a stain on the earth.

Excellent price for this valveI bought this DISA valve because of the price. I have an older BMW and didn't want to spend 250 dollars on an OEM part. It seems to work just fine and fits perfectly--of course time will tell on how long it will last. When you install this, make everything is aligned and press in as much as you can. Then put the screws in, and tighten each one, alternating between them until the valve is seated. Don't try to push it in manually--let the screws do the work to seat the valve.

I have a 2003 325i. Easy part to change. Unfortunately, the main ring on this part was molded too large and did not fit into the intake manifold. Poor quality control is my guess as others have not had a problem. The return was quick and free with a full refund.

Be sure to look under the hood for the emissions sticker to verify proper fitment of confirm with VIN. I ordered the 11617544805 DISA valve and it wasn't the correct size. The flapper valve is about 1/2 inch too long. This 805 is for the SULEV (super ultra low emissions vehicle) version of the E46. I have the NON SULEV and needed this one (part number ending in 806). I've provided the link for the longer SULEV version, which ends with 805. If your car is the SULEV version you'll want the longer DISA valve. Link below. I just installed the 806 and the engine light is no longer on and the power is back.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076BMG6GH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
