The hackamore looks well made but after using it only 3 times I noticed all the rusted areas. My tack is stored in an insulated dry tack room. I’m disappointed in the quality of the material and am returning it.

It is not as though there is a large selection of hackamore brands to choose from. My horse injured his mandible and we had to ride in a hackamore for a couple months. This fit the bill and seems to be decently made. The "fleece" on the noseband could be thicker though. I also recommend using neatsfoot on the light colored leather, as darkening it looks much better. My gelding actually went surprisingly well in the hackamore so I may use it from time to time for hacking out.

It's a bit stiff, but it just needs to be broken in. My particular hackamore came in a darker color than in the picture but that's ok to me.EDIT: Just tried it on my horse & the noseband is to short, though my horse has a slight roman nose. Prepare to break out the leather hole punch if you have an oddly shaped horse.

I bought this hackamore bit for my big Tennessee Walker who did not like to have a bit in his mouth. He is a different horse now and acts so much better with this bit. He used to fight with me when I bridled him but now he accepts his bridle without a problem and he is much more relaxed under saddle.I like the fact that the bit has two adjustable straps to get the right fit for different horses. The comfort pad on the top works nicely too and protects the horse's nose from rubbing.Thank You for providing such a useful and economical product!

This is well made. It works great on my Thoroughbred that liked to grab the bit and go. Now he does not have that to hang onto. The price is great. I will recommend this to anyone looking for a Hackamore.
