I ordered this in spite of 1 low marked review about the collar that holds the fan tight is held by a set screw. I checked mine and it was so tight I couldn't move it. It installed perfectly and everything attached perfectly. And it started immediately when I turned on the system. Don't hesitate to get this part.

This seems to be a good replacement inducer. I have a lot of experience with them. It's well-packaged, doesn't make too much noise and appears to be as well made as Fasco. The felt gasket tho is too thick and the holes in it a bit too small so that if you aren't careful the screw threads will tear it up. I suggest using the felt to hold the screws while you put it in place. The unit does make a little whine, but not as bad as Fasco and there's no bearing grind of the aftermarket inducers Amazon has sold in the past. My Ruud was put in in 2001 and the original inducer lasted about 10yrs. About 2012 I bought a $100 replacement here which ran too slow, made a lot of grinding bearing noise, and had to be replaced after 4. I then bought a Fasco in from Grainger for $200 (they now want $500-600) which lasted 6, when a week ago it also began making the grinding noise I knew was bearing wear. I'm looking forward to replacing the furnace with something quieter.Update: This worked well for one season, and still does , but as one reviewer wrote, the inner fan is secured by an allen screw unlike other models. It apparently loosened over the summer cooling season and began scraping when starting this fall. At first it only happened when very hot, but now most of the time. I'm debating trying to fix it, or just leaving it alone and replacing the furnace sooner than I'd like. Trying to fix it now would likely require a new felt gasket and leave me with a worse problem. I'm not sure Locktite will work long in the intense heat either. I share the reviewer's conclusion: it is dumb.

This fit perfectly on my Ruud. Ordered 2 for both furnaces. Much more quiet than the original and much well made.

Had to replace the blower in my 15 year old furnace. I have a Conquest 80 furnace this works perfectly.
