I purchased this to keep my grandgirls busy on Christmas Eve. They had an absolutely blast having permission to color on fake walls. Due to rumbunctiousness, it fell over on a few occasions. I also put a couple of towels down on the floor so if their washable markets fell, uncapped, it didn't get on the area rug. It was a great way to keep them busy after a long car ride to Mimi's house.

Clever design, and fun for the kits to decorate, but I can't help wondering of a large appliance carton wouldn't offer at least as much fun for considerably less. YMMV.

This kids’ cardboard house is really great. It’s a large cardboard house that’s black & white, made for kids to color and decorate to make it their own. You can color it with markers, colored pencils, crayons, paint, etc. You can even decorate it with different craft items and supplies from around the house.The house is large and fits tow kids inside. I got this house for my two kids (age 7&9) to share with their 3 friends on a play date. It was a great activity for them. They all colored it together, made notes and played pretend. It was a lot of fun, kept them busy for a few hours and they come back to play with it daily.The quality is pretty great especially for a cardboard box house. The cardboard is thick and strong and the house stands upright and is sturdy. The kids color it outside and play inside and it’s quite durable.The house arrives pre-assembled for the most part and comes folded in a large carry box. Minor assembly is necessary after unboxing to get it standing up. You attach the roof and chimney and all set. It takes about 5-10 minutes total.Plus, you can fold it back up once you’re done using it and store it back in the box it came in for future use.

Never underestimate the power of cardboard! I don't think I know a single child that doesn't love a good cardboard box. I was so glad to have found this in the Vine but this will be worth what you pay. I am a HUGE fan and advocate for paper and cardboard playthings, in general. They are inexpensive and while often easily damaged, they are also an easily replenished resource. Some of my kiddos' favorite toys are paper dolls & dollhouses, cardboard costumes, and paper cake decorating sets. I think because these things are so ephemeral, they've lost a lot of their appeal for a lot of folks. There are many people who have a hard time accepting sunk costs when it comes to purchasing, then disposing of, or decluttering, household items and prefer to have something lasting to show for what they've paid. I would DEFINITELY argue the benefits of spending money on something that is consumable and/or disposable that will yield a fun experience. As a minimalist, this has a great appeal to me for my kids because it can be easily disposed of when it has reached the end of its life. Because it is cardboard, it isn't a huge plaything that will linger around my house FOREVER. When I say "disposable," I do not mean "trash." This cardboard playhouse offers PLENTY of play experience and it is sturdy enough to last for a long while. When I say "disposable," I really mean that it has a finite shelf life. Until it reaches the end of that life, it can be colored/painted, decorated, played in, AND can be disassembled and stored away until they are ready to play again. This has great appeal to me as a parent, but it offers a lot of value to my kids as well. It is great because it encourages both creativity AND imaginative play. Additionally, this is a VERY cost-effective option for folks who want to give their kids a play house but might not be able to afford one of those ridiculously priced wooden ones (or even the plastic ones). It is equally appealing to those of us who just don't have tons of space for huge toys. This was very quick and easy to assemble and it is holding together well. I could barely get it all put together before my kids were already going in and out, setting it up for "living," lighting it, adding decorations, etc., and is being colored as I write this. Then, at the end of the day, I can take it apart and tuck it into a closet or even under the couch. Furthermore, it is easy to replace and refresh once it is ready to "die." Once it has outlived its use, it can go in the recycling and I can get a new one so the experience for them is made new again as well. Add it to your kids' holiday gift wishlist; tell your friends; you won't regret it.

We’ve done a few of these cardboard houses and my 6 year old especially loves them. This one is actually shorter than most, especially if you fold down the bottom flaps. That makes it more stable and removes the obstacle to enter the door, though, so we did. This one is unique in that you can open the windows and even a trap door on the roof. Make sure to carefully fold them open the first time so they won’t tear. Assembly is simple and there are 3 pieces: house, roof, and chimney. Cardboard tabs on the pieces hold them together and you can disassemble if needed. It has tons of coloring space so it is a good group or long term craft. It is fairly sturdy and doesn’t collapse, although my boys aren’t very rough with it. They are in the process of painting it and it looks great so far.

To light weight. The boy recked it in a day. He plays with card board boxes all the time that last longer.

The chimney attachment wasn’t even included & there was a hole where it should have been. Had to return because it’s useless without the chimney
