I bought this box since I use a Sennheiser PC37X at work and I was having issues with low volume on the microphone since I suspected that the laptop I was working with was not giving enough power to the microphone through its mic/headphone combo jack.I already had a small DAC/amplifier on the headphone side so I just wanted a simple and seperate box that would solve the microphone side of the headphones.This box was smaller than I would have thought. It only came with a USB to barrel jack cable so I had to supply my own audio cables. The volume knob has a click at the bottom of its travel since this amplifier seems to have internal battery and the barrel jack charges up that battery. I didn't need for this to have a battery but that is a nice feature if I do have to move my setup somewhere temporarily.This seems to bring the volume level of my microphone to something that others in meetings can hear without distortion or static when the volume knob is at the upper end of its range so it's good to know that I have some room for more amplification if I need it but it's not that much more.Overall, I'm satisfied.
