When a material is spilled in the bed of your truck and gets on your emergency brake cables and locks them up they will have to be replaced.

This cable did not fit my 95 K1500 extended cab, short bed. The main problem is the housing is way to short causing the cable to be long. Needs to have length of cable and housing in description.

This cable only lasted a year and a half on my manual Chevy used heavily. This was in NY state salt however. When it went bad it froze engaged and destroyed my drum brakes. Not sure if on a southern state vehicle it would last longer but I’m sure in the south you don’t even need to change cables ever.

Fits well. Installation is a P-I-T-A but that's probably because I live in rust belt. My vehicle is a 95 chevy K-1500 EXT CAB 6.5ft bed. And yes they are made in china

OEM is the way to go. As compared to the 26 year old cable I removed, this one includes better sheathing and an additional clear coating at the front to protect from fraying.
