You have to slide the black protecting sleeve back away to expose the clip that holds the line in.Use a finely pointed too to hook under the high spot on the clip and pry it out. After the line is removed, just re-insert the clip into the groove and shove the new line in.Don't bother with the cheap chinese "tool" kits for line removal. I have yet to see one that actually works as advertised. The wings on those extruded plastic tools are far to thick to even get them in. Don't bother.

It got the job done. Just what I needed. Beats going to a dealership. No auto shop carried it

Bought all 3 lines for my 2004 Tahoe with hd cooling. Worked great, not too bad to install. Arrived with no damage. Highly recommend, plus prime shipping is nice.

This were a perfect fit . OEM GM part made in Canada. I bought all three transmission lines at once for my 2001 silverado extend cab, fleet side 5.3L, Z71. Your transmission type is a code on your vin list inside the glovebox. I removed my grill, black cover under the hood over the radiator and front bumper (putting new bumper on anyway). This is not fun! Penetrating oil on the connectors, use a pick to pry out spring clips. To facilitate remove of the line on top off the transmission; I removed the cross member under the oil pan ( it doesn't support anything your safe). Also remove a small guard with 2 10mm bolts on the edge of the transmission pan, it will give you more room to get your hand up their to reach the lines. I did one line at a time. Unclip the lines from the brackets. ( Don't worry if the plastic clips break holding the two lines together don't replace them that is where mine rusted it holds salt there.) Feed each line through the front; that is where removing the cross member (or guard) comes into. It gives you room to turn the lines around to pull them out. I didn't cut or bend them so I could comparison the new lines and to see how to feed them back in. The hardest part was trying to remove and install the spring clips on top of the transmission. I had the truck on ramps with cardboard on the concrete plenty of room. I would order the spring clips they are easy to loose. A trick to use is to put the clips in before you insert the new line. The line ends will snap in when you push down. then you know your secure. Good luck you just need patients.

I bought this line as one of three for my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab with a 5.3 and an engine code of “B”, which is determined by the eighth character of your VIN. My truck has the 4L60-E Transmission. One of my lines was leaking where the rubber section met the metal tube. I saw a few You Tubers sawing the old lines apart and making a repair. Living the in the Northeast, I looked at my three rusty lines and decided to replace all three. All three fit perfectly. The only curious thing was that two were packed in boxes but the third had a shipping label wrapped around it and was shipped just like that, no box, not shrink bag, nothing. My mail lady knocked on my door and handed me the line :-) It was not damaged and it fit great. No harm no foul...

First off I ordered this line along with two other lines for my 01 silverado to replace all three involved with the transmission cooler. The lower line I received from a different seller came in OE packaging (plastic shrink wrapped around the part. The second shorter radiator to cooler line came also from a different seller in OE packaging (ACDelco box with the striped tape in plastic). This line came in a similarly sized box so I expected the same kind of packaging. No. This was a loose line in bubble wrap, which I'll give them that, they used a significant amount of bubble wrap and it really held the line in there secure. The real issue I have here may be an inventory issue or prior packing issue because there is absolutely zero damage to the box, but the line I received is severely creased to the point it has a flat spot. Unfortunately I need this line immediately or I would send it back. After waiting 3 days for a line to come damaged after waiting only 2 for the other perfectly delivered lines, this was a major let down.Update: When bending the line back into place it formed a crack so I silver soldered the bend and it held strong. About 4k miles so far and no leaks.
