Very accurate , use it one time yesterday but nothing bad to say about this product for the moment . I use it for crankshafts clearance and it perfect 👌🏼 look good quality for the price !

I work in engineering but bought the 3"-4" Micrometers p/n Md71-0004 for checking pistons that will be going into a 1500hp motor. I took the micrometer to work and had our Quality Assurance department check it to see how accurate this mic was and it was dead nuts on to FIVE decimal places. The 3" probe that comes with the kit is used to set the distance was exactly 3.00000" long according to the calibrated tools in our QA department. We then stacked precision gauge blocks to 3.50000" long and this micrometer measured 3.50000"..EXACTLY. We tried different lengths and it hit the numbers perfectly....

The tool works pretty darn well.It showed up with a dead battery in it, which I found a bit alarming. Once powered up, it seems to function well. The plastic knobs and the case it came in feel cheap. The case lasted maybe a week in my shop before cracking apart around the hinge.

For this price, one must not be too picky.The main screw feels like it's rough, with debris in it.But I checked it against various standards, and it reads accurately.
