Sometimes with these brushes that have the hex end on them, sometimes the shank will spin and the brush will not. I've tested both of these and they do not have that issue at the moment. The maximum RPM is 4500 RPMs, and overall work just like a crimped wire brush would. I don't have any complaints, the build quality seems fine, and they do what they're supposed to do.

These wire brushes are really handy. I have found myself using them twice so far, once to quickly clean some oxidized battery terminals on one of our cars, and the second time when changing out my wife's brakes. The wire bristles were strong enough to knock some pretty serious rust off of brake rotors and calipers. I was able to get into much tighter areas with this than with the traditional wire wheel on a grinder. I can also adjust the speed using a variable speed drill. I did notice that after using one of the brushes heavily that all of the bristles were starting to bend in the direction that the drill was spinning and they weren't in as tight of a bundle as they originally were, but overall, they worked very well and I was happy with the performance.
