Need this one for a 3.5l eco boost f-150. The 12mm 1.50 shaft wasn’t long enough to reach the threads without modifying. Had to grind it down on the bigger part of the shaft to clear the crank enough to thread in. It did the job but shouldn’t have to modify it to work.

This long-reach balancer installer is a must for an LS with an aftermaket damper. The kit is well-made, and the bearing end is smooth and robust. Makes short work of a tedious task.

Hi folks,This kit definitely does not have the correct sized Shaft to fit into the Chrysler 2.7 L Engine. The Engine requires a M14.2.0 Thread which is not in this kit.

So glad I bought this. A must have for LS crank pulley. I’m an ASE certified technician and have used this multiple times at work already and it works perfectly. I recommend greasing the threads for longevity. It’s definitely worth the price and the quality is just as good as snap-on.

Received the tool on time and in good condition and it was exactly as advertised. The cases is good quality. I have not used this tool yet but I have used similar products from other vendors. From 1st inspection the quality and finish of this tool is very good. The bearing quality will be more than adequate for balancer installation. The threaded rod appears to be very high quality and again if it is lubricated properly appears to be more than adequate for it's intended purpose. I give the tool and the seller high marks for a good product.

I wish I had this thing before I had stripped the threads in the end of the crank and the dampener bolt. It would have made life so much easier. After I got a new bolt and chased the threads the installer worked like a charm. You can't put the pully on with just the bolt. You will need some kind of a spacer 1 1/2" deep to bring the forcing nut out to where you can get a wrench on it. Other then that the puller worked great. A must have if you don't want to pull you hair out.

GM tech here. Finally had a chance to use this doing a cam and lifter job on a 6.0L Silverado. As you can see the the kit comes with 4 different threaded rods with different thread pitches for different crankshafts. Only one does not have a hex head to tighten it into the crankshaft and of course it's the one for LS engines (the reason I bought it and what ill most likely use it for) Not a big deal, it's a square drive and I torqued it down with an adjustable wrench. Next is to install the jam nut and turn the jam nut to press on the balancer. The balancers are quite deep so I had to use the adjustable wrench at an angle to spin the nut to press it on. Worked fine. The official GM special tool has a long cylinder that allows the same jam nut to be further back for easier access. We had one at my shop but it has been missing for quite some time. Everyone just hammers on the balancers to the snout of the crank, installs the crank bolt and drives it home with an impact and while I have done that, I know one day those crank threads won't hold on. This tool eliminates that worry and can't beat the price. Only gets 4* bc I've used the official GM special tool and it is slightly easier to use and the no hex drive for the LS threaded rod. Good tool. Buy it.
