Update: After about two weeks these bulbs have both failed due to overheating of the COB (see picture). I was hesitant about these but was hopeful and was ultimately let down. These bulbs were only powered for short periods when my truck doors were opened which was only about two minutes at a time so these bulbs were never on for more than a few minutes at most and maybe a few times a day. While they lasted they were great but sadly I feel cheated even if they were almost free via Vine. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of these unless you like to throw away your money.Original review: I installed these in the bed cargo lamp of my Ram 3500 and these bulbs are bright! They are easily 4-5 times brighter than the factory bulbs. The build quality is good and they seem to have ample metal for heat dissipation, color is even and they installed easily (if they don’t light you just need to rotate them 180 in the socket). Time will determine if these bulbs stand up to heat build up and I will edit my review as such but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that these last longer than some other high output LEDs I’ve purchased in the past.

These LED lights are great and they were very easy to install. I have put them on my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe and they have increased the brightness by at least 300%. It was a quick and easy way to replace the halogen bulbs with a brighter LED would highly recommend.

I've been searching for 912 style bulbs for backup lights. I'm using a set that are brighter than these, but they also have their drawbacks. These bulbs run at about 18 watts each when first turned on. This much wattage produced light output that measured right about 50,000 lux using an app on my phone. These bulbs get way to hot to touch at 238°F. More than enough to boil water. Once the bulb gets hot it automatically reduces power and only draws a few watts, and consequently greatly reduces the light output. I measured 18,000 lux when they throttled back.As a comparison, the 912 bulbs I'm currently running (not the ones I'm reviewing here) have tiny fans in them. I measured 74,000 lux with the app on my phone. 50% brighter than these... but the fans seem to have sleeve bearings and are noisy. So these are OK if you want quiet bulbs, but I worry about the high temperatures.I'll keep looking...

Edit: They're insanely bright, but they don't last very long. I had 3 different pairs burn out within 2-3 weeks of very minimal use. These are by far the brightest bulbs I've found, yet! I used them in my '21 Jeep Cherokee, to replace the halogen 194 trunk lights. (I had to modify the housing a little by cutting off the folding backing plate.) I also replaced the trunk bulb in my '08 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and as you can see, it's a night and day difference! Just be careful not to touch them; they're extremely hot to the touch.
