The adhesive on the flap is probably fine, but I don't entirely trust it and usually tape over it. The envelopes are somewhat thin, so they don't hold enormous sheaves of paper. I recommend them for when you have business documents of more than 4 and fewer than 10 pages.

These Tyvek envelopes are a great improvement over craft paper type envelopes to mail your important documents. These are suitable for mailing small articles of clothing, shoes or other items that aren’t fragile. No need to worry about tears or getting wet in transit. I also found these are better for protecting and storing important documents in your home filing cabinet than a file folder.

These Tyvek Envelopes are perfect for mailing letter size documents without any folding and provide protection from moisture and physical damage. They are light in weight so as not to increase the cost of sending by much. If sending something you wish not to be bent, such as a photograph, placing a piece of cardboard in with it will help to prevent damage. Work great for document storage as well.

In addition to making great non-tearing postal envelopes, Tyvek is great worked into the spines of my handmade notebooks and albums to keep them from falling apart after years of use or just age. The Tyvek does not tear but cuts easily.And, of course, they're good for mailing things. These are self-adhesive, so there's no trying to tape or moisten the flap. Whatever is inside is safe, and the 9x12 is a great size for catalogs, documents, and even books.

Been using these for many moons. They don’t open in transit. They are great for sending docs or other small media that is important. As a lawyer I typically use them for legal docs. Somewhat on the pricey side so I only use them for important docs….Recommended.

I got introduced to Tyvek almost 20 years ago when I started selling on eBay to make extra money during college. I wound up with this huge box of Tyvek mailers from some unfinished project my mother never finished and shipped, used every single one for my eBay store because Tyvek quality just can’t be beat. Waterproof mailers are a necessity during rainy season, especially if you’re sending clothes or paper goods.These are smaller than the ones I had, but they’ll fit an article of clothing or a small to medium sized plushie with no issues. In the photo I submitted, they’re holding a pair of heavy-duty gym pants I just sold on eBay. If you print your own sticky shipping labels at home, they stick to Tyvek material awesomely.I’ve been selling online for almost two solid decades, subsequently I’ve had both great and horrible experiences with random makers’ polyvinyl and waterproof mailers. If you want a durable name brand for shipping small goods, look no further than Tyvek. Just make sure you really jam the contents in and fold the flap over before removing the flap tape, their flap tape is as strong as E6000 industrial glue!
