The design does not allow the bracket to stay on the railings. I have lost two already because they pop off and fall into the water.

Our new Pontoon boat (like our old one) doesn't have side deck cleats or a way to hang fenders easily/securely. These hangers work perfectly to sit on the side railing and hang a fender (3/8in line) anywhere on the rail and to whatever depth you need easily and securely. Great for raft ups and easy to remove when under way.

These most definitely do not fit 1.25" railings like the description says.
