I have about a dozen hanging baskets to plant each year and I find that the coco fiber liners really add up in cost....and that's without the plants! For the past few years I find cheap liners at a dollar store and double them up in each planter--that way the outer liner always stays intact and looks good. I have gotten sometimes 2 or 3 seasons out of one liner. But they're not cheap anymore...so I am moving on to these liners.Hanging baskets can sometimes vary in diameter and depth. What I LOVE about these is the ability to cinch in the top -- they have 4 slits that allow you to adjust the attached Velcro to perfectly fit your basket.I will continue using a brown coco liner visible on the outside, then place these liners inside. They are a thin, woven material that is easy to trim and will help to keep the plants hydrated. Most importantly, they will help to contain the soil above the rim of the wire basket and keep the coco fiber piece cleaner.NOTE: I will update my review to reflect how well they work once the Midwest temps are warm enough.

I just received these in time for spring and have been changing out my metal hanging baskets.I did not know what to expect and when they arrived, they were actually folded up in a box - I thought they would look like they do in the picture. The material is medium weight, and the product is used by opening these material sheets and then adjusting the size by securing them with the attached Velcro. Each sheet has partitioned cuts to accommodate the folding of the material. I am hoping that this will also help with water drainage,Overall, I think this concept is great! The 14 inch size worked fine for most of my baskets, it is too large for the smaller sized ones so if I wanted to use this product, I would have to order the 12 inch for those.I do not know how long these will last but feel confident that they should definitely make it thru one season. It would be nice if the company offered a mix size pack so I could have a few of all the different sizes (12/14/16) for my baskets.

These are going to be great if your baskets aren't much deeper than 7" so be sure to measure before ordering. They are made out of solid felt material and should hold up very well to potting soil and water. They are adjustable with velcro tabs to tighten or loosen according to the diameter of your basket, in fact I was surprised they come in a flat pack and by fitting them into the basket and then adjusting the velcro tabs the bowl shape of the liner begins to form. Unfortunately they are just a bit too shallow, by about 3", for my needs, otherwise they would be perfect.

This is an okay item under particular circumstances. I got these for my 14 inch basket however the depth really matters. I have 2 different style baskets one is deep and the others are not. See photos. I like that it is adjustable however soil is escaping from these slits as they do not have gusset. I love the way it looks in the one basket. The others I may need to trim down. Although I'll loose the velcro adjustments, meaning I'll have to fasten them together some other way. Maybe I'll have to make a few stitches with fishing line to keep them together and line them with paper towel to keep the soil from falling out of the cracks. So do I prefer them over the coco fiber yes absolutely. The coco fiber liners tend to shed and be bare in some areas and of course hanging baskets are always dry. This felt type liner doesn't shed, doesn't get discolored from the water draining out. It's overall appearance is more neat and formal for a business or wedding garden party scenario. I think if it drains too much I could try to seal it inside with a waterproofing spray and make a small drain hole. All of these mods would never be possible with a coco fiber liner. So if someone is willing to do a little personalizing this is a great material to work with or with the right dimensions it could be a good fit out of the box like my one basket lol. They were received vacuum packed and folded but took shape quickly when adding dampen soil. Reluctantly I would buy them again. However I do hope the company would lowering the velcro secure points to make the liners trim able for shallow baskets.I plan to plant trailing succulents in one, petunias in another, and strawberries where my kids can't reach in the other 3. These liners are versatile and suitable for each application. Wish me luck!

I recently received this "4 Pack 16 Inch Fabric Planter Basket Liner- Felt Flower Pot Liners Replacement Coco Fiber Liner for Hanging Basket Flowers Round Hanging Basket Liners Prevent Birds from Nesting" and they're great for those hanging floral arrangements, but work well in other spherically shaped planters as well.I ordered this 4-pack of coco fiber liners for my hanging planters. I have one on both the front and back porches, but they were still lined with last year's liner and they were looking kind of ratty. The plants in them are fakes, so I'm not concerned about their "use" so much as their appearance, and I really liked that these were available in black, rather than the "natural" brown color. It fits my design aesthetic better. These are great liners if you're doing any kind of faux flower arrangements. I've been doing that recently and I'm using two of these liners, upturned, serving as the "mulch" for a couple of large-mouthed planters down on the ground. They're not *easy* to pierce, but you can thread individual stems of artificial flowers/plants through them and secure them from below. The net result is very similar to using them "properly," but they act as an additional method to keep the arrangement in place in situations where they might get blown away. It's not as beautiful as placing a live plant IN one of these planters, but it's something else you can use them for! ;-)The 4-pack was priced at $15.99 when I placed my order and I would definitely order these again.Happy to recommend!
