We set up the net (ignoring the handle) to prevent tadpoles from being drawn into our pond's pump without hurting them. It has done a great job with that. Meanwhile, it has also prevented a large number of tiny snails from a similar fate. The fine mesh catches even the smallest debris and snails. Later, we hope to use the net's handle to scoop debris that is settling on the bottom of the pond. Excellent product so far.

Exactly what I was looking for to skim the edge of our pool w/ small debris. The netting is very delicate, hopefully it'll last since I'm not skimming anything heavy. Need to put athletic tape on the handle since it is slippery when wet.

It's large and that's what I needed. I have large Plecos and Oscars and I needed something strong if I had to move them or dispose of them if they died.
