This is a pretty decent carpenter square that has worked well for me. For the different projects that I have done it has done a good enough job for me to keep it. It seems to be pretty durable and I’ve not had any issues with it getting banged up while working.

My husband works in construction. He is always expanding his tools. I know he has something like this already, but he insisted on eating a spare. It works as intended. It’s a great square. No complaints with it so far.

Solid aluminum with increment markings etched into tool. I've tested this square for, well, being square, and it is exactly right on. For that matter, all length and angle markings are dead on accurate. Solid packaging and it came with 2 pencils. Never enough pencils!

For 19.00 I'd probably pass. It's very light duty. If this were in the bottom of my tool box I'd bet it would bend or break. I have Stanley squares and they last. The markings on this square are easy ro read and it is light and attractive but I think the markings will wear off very soon.If nothing else it works for diy around the house. This isn't. Pro grade tool.

The square is made out of metal and feels solid in your hand. The numbers are clearly marked and easy to read. The orangish red color is easy to find in a job site scenario.

I have a few framing squares. All of the others are thicker and a little heavier. Which ones are more durable is debatable. What I like about this one is that the measurements are easier to read and seem considerably more accurate. The edges seem more smooth d accurate as well: It seems that this this tool can offer more precision than my others that I have acquired over the years. I have a few since I will generally keep one at the place where I an doing the carpentry, and then another at the location where I am doing the cutting (miter saw, or table saw. I like the look of this one better, but since it looks so nice, I do not want to drop it and keep it at my chop saw (miter saw).

As the headline says, this is an attractive looking speed square an is very nice out of the box. My experience is that these tools tend to get tossed in a tool box and take a beating when moving from job to job. The markings on this one look delicate and I doubt they will last long with this sort of treatment. I'll be keeping this one in my workshop, where it is likely to be treated more gently.
