Light weight but just enough padding to remedy those random pedal kickbacks slamming ankles into the rear triangle. Package sizing for reference.

work well. If you have shoes that slide at all, they want to come off your foot and slide up your ankle. Tighten your shoes/strings down and snugs into place well. Can still move/walk well but adds protection to side ankle bone and Achilles area for a fair price. Hold up ok in FL heat. Sweat A LOT and have used about 6-7 times, still in good shape.

These ankle protectors are fantastic! I don't ever notice them while riding, even after they've been on for hours, and they are efficient at protecting your ankles from common contacts with the chainring, and flat pedal pins/edges, or when coming off the bike.I've worn these for dozens and dozens of rides with zero problems or issues, and I will buy another pair once these start to wear out!If I had to find one complaint, it would be that these ankle protectors take a little extra effort to pull over your heel.

I bought these to protect my ankle bones from pedal impacts and random branches/rocks on the trail when mountain biking. They work decent. They protect what I bought them to protect. That said, I wish the ankle bone padding was a little thicker. I also don't see them lasting very long because it seems like they don't handle getting put on and taken off very well. Stretches them and the elastic is not that great of quality. I was border line 3/4 stars. I give them 4 stars because they do what I bought them to do and they do fit well even under my mountain biking shoes. Would have been 5 if the padding was a little thicker and the elastic seemed like it would last longer. Even with the negatives I would/will probably buy again, due to the lack of other options and the fact that they do what I need them to do.

I have a fused left ankle and bought these to protect my ankle while mountain biking. I can't tell you how happy I am that I found these. The padding is just right around each side on the 'ankle ball joints'. And, because I need padding protection on the front of my ankle I wear these backwards so the area that is intended to protect the Achilles area behind your ankle is now in front and it provides much needed protection along the area where I have a metal plate and scar going up the front of my ankle and lower shin. The Large/X-Large size is the size I purchased because since my ankle will not bend I had some problems getting the Small/Medium on my foot. The Large/XL fit nicely and it is very comfortable and I did not even notice I was wearing it. The materials is breathable too. These are great for the bangs and slams you can get while mountain biking. I feel so much more secure having them on especially since having banged my ankle a month ago while riding and it still hurts from that incident. These pads provide the right amount of protection for me. They are not bulky and intrusive and I wear my low cycling socks over them so it is barely noticeable. I highly recommend these.
