This carburetor is designed to fit several different Briggs and Stratton engine models. There are parts in the kit to reconfigure the choke plate lever if the default doesn't fit your engine. Unfortunately, my Husqvarna YTH22V46 Briggs and Stratton Intech needed to other lever. There are two very small screws holding the choke plate onto the lever. Using my best Snap-On screwdriver both of the screw heads immediately rounded out. I was able to remove one screw by leaning on the screwdriver but that bent the choke plate. I had to drill the the other screw out ruining the plate.Fortunately I was able to salvage the lever and plate from the OEM carb and used the OEM screws to install the lever.On a brighter note, the carb reinstall was smooth and the mower is running fine. It was just a huge hassle the the average Joe may not have the capability to work around the problem.

For a cheap as these are to buy, there's no point in rebuilding them anymore. They get to your door fast, they always fit, they install in 20 minutes, and they always work. Such a breeze.

Great tune-up kit inclusive of carburetor for 20HP (B&S) John Deere L120 engine. This kit includes all of the filters, plugs, clamps, everything you would need except for the blades. This year I upgraded my kit to include the carburetor as my tractor has been starting hard for the last couple years. The Carb kit came complete with all gaskets (except for the intake manifold o-ring gaskets), hoses, clamps, fuel pump required to complete the tune-up and carb swap. I was extremely pleased when after completing the swap the tractor started right away. Now that there is fuel in the line and pump it literally starts in 1 second of cranking. The only adjustment that I had to make was to reduce the idle a couple hundred RPM as it was idling slightly higher than I care for. This was a simple set screw adjustment on the carb and only took a couple seconds. I am shocked that something that works so well can be sold so cheaply. I wish I replaced the carb several years ago when it started acting up. I would recommend this kit if you are looking to tune your tractor or replace the carb.

My mower wouldn’t start. It took me about an hour and half to install the parts. It runs great. I did have an issue with a couple bugs in the fuel tank. I used a 3/4” hose put an air hose in the side of the tube near the fuel can and used it to blow air away from fuel tank. Creating a siphon and vacuumed the bugs and fuel out of the mower. Filtered it and put it back in the mower. Runs great.

Well, changed the carb on lawnmower and it still wasn't working. I have been working on small engines for many years. Pretty savvy. Anyhow, lawnmower didn't work, I was so frustrated and confused. There's a black plastic pump thing that has 4 or 5 inlets where you connect the gas lines etc. On those inlets, there are little black rubber covers to sorta say, I thought I removed them all, but turns out I missed one, so the gas wasn't running through that pump and into the carburetor. So if you put this carb on and your mower isn't working, check that (after insuring you have spark first). Seems to be made of good quality. To get a carb, spark plugs, fuel filter[s] and all of the other stuff for 40 bucks, that's a killer deal! Highly recommend.

I have a craftsman gt5000 with a 22 hp briggs and stratton. The kit worked great for me. Here are the pros and cons.Pros:Carb worked great right out of the box, idles slightly high even with idle screw backed all the way out but runs awesome!Spark plugs and air filter are correctGasket kit came with extra gaskets depending what engine it goes onCons:Oil filter is small compared to some after market optionsFuel pump is not correct for my application, the ports are in a different location on mine.The fuel shut off solenoid is angle off to side on the carb vs straight down on stock. I had to lengthen one of the wires to plug it in but works just fine if you have the capability of splicing a wire

The carb is fine, nice that it comes with two choke butterfly valves…but…The fuel pump is trash. I installed and wasted a couple hrs trying to figure out why the motor wouldn’t start. Checked everything and finally put the old pump on and fired right up.So, carb is fine, but junk the pump.
