bought these for my wedding at nighttime before everyone started leaving. These were only handed out for a big group photo and the next morning you could see all the broken fiber plastic pieces all over my yard. Had a heck of a time picking up pieces as you can only see them when the sunlight hits just right.

We used these at an after party of a wedding. So much fun! Everyone loved them. Nice and bright! Getting 12 in a package is a good deal.

We used this for a holiday event where we turned most of the lights out and turned on music for the kiddos to dance. They had fun and the lights worked. The handles are brighter than the fibers, but that's the nature of the item. The ribbon wrist lanyard helped make sure they didn't go flying if the dancing got enthusiastic. However, the fibers are not well attached and we found quite a few on the floor when the event was over. These are basically a disposable toy for single-event use.

Reviewed: The fiber pieces came out very easily and were basically gone by the time the party was over…These work well out of the box... will be using for a big glow party, and I'm excited to see them in action!

I'm not sure what I thought I was getting when I ordered these wands other than, "these ought to be cool at one of my gatherings." I have noticed a few things, though.First, you really can't see the fiber optics in the light. Now, that might seem obvious but even in a dimly lit room, they don't show up very well so if you get these, you need to be in a very dark environment. I took a photo in a darkened room and again with the lights on.Second, the fiber are all together in a bunch (I expect this is why they all it a wand.) I worked one of the wands enough to splay the fibers so the pinpoints of light were more dispersed. I liked that better, but if you do that, be careful. Some of the fibers will fall out. Do it gently.Third, the handle lights up, which is the source for the fibers. It is actually brighter than the fibers and there are 3 pulse settings. Unfortunately, one of the wands started "shorting" out after turning it on and off a few times. (Nope, it wasn't the one I splayed out.)Fourth, and this is a plus...the handle, which has the control for the light, has a ribbon lanyard. This is great for hanging the wand either from a stationary location or your wrist and there are several pastel colors. For me, this item is so-so. Not as fun or exciting as I thought it might be.
