I bought this because am renovating a house and I wanted to limit the sanding dust. The drywall in this home has a million picture holes in it. This worked perfectly for fixing all that. I attached the drywall sander to my shop vac instead of the collection bag that it comes with. The sanding only took seconds. Cuts fast and flat. No mess. Changing the pads are fast and easy. It has a led light on it. This really helps finding imperfections. I opted to not buy one on a pole because it would be to heavy. I made the right choice.

This sander in junk. I've used it a lot and it's very low quality. The reason this has such high reviews is that they are all VINE reviews so the person got the item for free and then gave it a high rating since they didn't actually paid for it.

As is often the case, the documentation was less than useful but with some effort and trial and error, I was able to make use of the drywall sander. Since my drywall project has been postponed indefinitely, I decided to use a piece of weathered exterior plywood for my evaluation so I wouldn’t have to further postpone my review. For my tests, I made random pencil marks on the plywood to help evaluate the tool’s performance as shown in my first and third photos. My second photo shows the result after three minutes of sanding with a 120-grit pad and connecting the dust port to my shop vacuum. About 90% of the pencil marks were removed. I was unable to use the slower speeds with the shop vacuum since there was too much “drag” caused by the negative pressure. Even at the highest speed, I still had to open the air port on the sander to improve performance. My fourth photo shows the result of using the vacuum bag, again after three minutes of sanding. The results were less effective, leaving about 25% of the pencil marks but I could see no sawdust in the bag. I suspect that I could have received better results if I applied downward pressure but that would be quite fatiguing over long periods of sanding and not very representative of the tool’s performance. The bag seals with a cheap piece of plastic that compresses the opening, much like the plastic used to hold the paper papers of a report. Not very impressive. There is very little vertical clearance between the bottom of the drywall sander and the material being sanded so applying downward pressure serves no purpose. That is why I question the suitability of this tool for rougher surfaces, such as you might find with textured ceilings or walls. The drywall sander comes with an extra-long electrical cable and a surprisingly useful light, even if the light switch is incredibly difficult to access. The vacuum hose of the bag attachment is very difficult to attach and remove from the sander. That may become problematic over time.Lastly, as a hand-held drywall sander, it will be awkward to reach lower and higher surfaces without kneeling or using a ladder, respectively. This product is certainly less expensive than others but personally, I would be willing to spend more for a model that utilized an adjustable pole mount.

It is easy to work with it, very comfortable and not heavy. It does keep dust within and someone I feel like I'm not sanding, good machine
