Why does your hermit crabs need shells?
Hermit crabs have a soft and delicate belly, in order to protect them from injury, they need wear shells on their backs. However, these shells are not the physical part of the crab but borrowed from other shellfish. As the crab grow, they need to enter larger shells. Some crabs like to change shells for fun or just wanna find a more suitable shell house!

Were the perfect size for my hermit crab. Baby girl moved into one immediately, and I have some more going up in size for her to grow into them. Was exactly what I was looking for, matched the description.

This was a bit of a hail Mary order. For the price, it was way better than what I was expecting. The muffin shell came with a hole rendering it useless for my hermits, which is fine bc they don't seem to like those anyway. 5 shells were perfect and the openings were 1 1/8" to 2 1/8". A very nice addition to my hermits' shell shop.

4 of the 6 shells are correctly sized. 1 is very small and 1 is very large. They're good for the price, but I'm a little frustrated about the small shell. These are for my hermit crabs, so the size matters.

For those looking for bigger shells, do not buy this. The opening size which is the most important, the description is wrong.The opening size would be 1.0" - 1.5" - for those looking for bigger shells, avoid

The packaging is great and so cute...The shells I received looked just like the ones as advertised however I'm concerned about the green one...there is definitely a Crack and looks like it might have been repaired so I'm concerned how it's going to hold up...the one I'm mostly disappointed with is one of the smaller ones...the inside is totally gone...there is nothing there for my hermit crab to wrap its tail around (to hold onto)...im hoping that I can return/exchange just the one...im trying to figure how to get in touch with with their customer service to see what we can do...but they are very beautiful!
