I recently purchased the hitch cargo carrier with a bike rack,and i couldn't be happier with my decision.The assembly process was pretty easy, took me about 20 minutes. THe rack is very sturdy, holding my bikes securely and the lashing straps did help a lot,even on rough roads.I also like how the carrier can handle a decent amount of weigh,making it perfect for me e-bikes.It's solidly built,Plus,it's versatile enough to carry not just bikes,but other cargo as well. The foldability is anouther excellent feature,as it makes storage and parking easy when the carrier is not in use.One thing I want to point is,you need to check the size of your bikes to make sure this carrier fits. It is 60 inches long,but when you fold the fence,it is a couple of inches shorter, so you need to check the wheelbase limits. Other than that it holds your bike perfactly!What they can do better is the bike pole,now you need to install it when you want use it as a bike rack,and remove the bike pole when you want to use it as a cargo rack,it is a lot easier comparing switching two complement different rack,but still,if the bike pole is foldable,it will be perfect.Overall, I'm impressed with the quality,stability, and the 2 functions of ths hitch cargo carrier plus bike rack. It's a reliable product that i highly recommend to anyone in need of a sturdy and versatile transport solution.Update:Recently I used it as a cargo carrier, I took off the bike pole and accidentally lost the bike hooks. I reached out to the seller, and they sent me a new set of hooks really fast. Great customer service - thumbs up!

I used this hitch hauler for both camping and as a means of transporting 2 heavy (70 lbs each) e-bikes. It does both of those things very, very well. No wobbling under a full load of camping gear or bikes, no question it will hold the weight as advertised. There are several reasons I didn't give it 5 starts but those can be chalked up to the carrier being heavily built and extremely strong (essentially good things). Specifically, 1) It weighs roughly 50 lbs. 2) It's big to store when you're not using it. 3) You need wrenches to install / remove it. 4) You need a wrench to convert it to a bike carrier. 5) When configured as a bike carrier, it can't be folded up against the vehicle when not in use (unless you remove the bike attachment). That said though, a comparable purpose-built bike carrier that is capable of carrying two ebikes of this weight is well over the price of this unit. BTW, there is a review here that mentions that it's not big enough for a Rad Rover bike (which is what we have). Not exactly true. Yes, it's about 2 - inches too short for the Rad's wheelbase but they can be made to fit securely. I found that making sure the rear wheel is correctly and fully in the carrier leaves the front wheel resting on the railing of the front wheel slot when it should be fully inside the slot. It's not really an issue because you can (have to, actually) strap the bike down to the carrier and it can be made as secure as necessary. DO NOT RELY on the bike carrier attachment alone to hold your bike on the carrier - you MUST also strap them down, so buy some tie down straps too. I also purchased the MeeFar vinyl liner bag which is also excellent, strong and waterproof and extends the capabilities of the carrier. The bag comes with tiedown straps (for the bag not the bike). Lastly, although my unit arrived in perfect condition, others who have left reviews - even negative ones - have all commented on how good MerCars customer service is.

I looked at this rack before, but the 60 inch length was a bit small for me. When I saw they extebded the length, I thought it was a great improvement. Now it actually fits ebikes, and it's clear they listened to customer feedback with this upgrade.Assembly was fairly easy, and the rack feels sturdy, though it's a bit heavy. They also included a stabilizer and straps, which adds even more value for the price.

Love the bottom rack and held my 2 electric bikes well initially, but when on a road trip, the welded hook that holds one of the bikes upright broke off (marked up one of my new bike). Can you possibly send me a new poll (a little bent) with the square hooks that go down on the poll?
