Initially, I purchased a different gutter guard from local big box warehouse store that was twice the cost of this one. I finally gave up trying to install it and returned if. It was labeled for 5” gutters, excellent quality and more of a woven thicker screen with rigid aluminum edges. It was not bendable and would have been difficult to cut, and had to be slid an inch under the edge of shingles, which was not possible in some places. I ordered this and am very pleased with the much easier install. The back edge of the pieces are bendable, although sturdy, to allow a good fit when there is some variation on the width of the gutter, which happens during their install. I was able to cut pieces to fit lengthwise, when needed, and needed only an occasional screw. Not needed on every piece. 5/8” metal screws are included. The pieces snap firmly in place along the front edge which made for a clean, secure fit. Overall, very pleased with the product design, quality and install. I’m a 69 year old female and I’d consider this a relatively easy DIY.

I purchased and installed over 250 feet of Waterlock 5" Gutter Guards Leaf Protection in Royal Brown. From the first purchase of the sample it was apparent that the customer service at Art of Gutter was going to be outstanding. They included a free sample of their MicroMesh Gutter Guard so that I could compare the two products before choosing the one that would work best in my situation. I had several questions concerning the delivery of two separate packages, the number of screws included, and the proper installation of the gutter guards. Their response was immediate to all of my questions and actually answered all my questions. Now to what I learned. My 40 year old gutters had been battered by several hurricanes and were not pristine as the gutters are in all the videos. If you have new gutters then the installation will be a breeze and the number of screws provided will probably be sufficient...BUT if you have old crooked, dented gutters then plan on purchasing about 50% more screws to keep the gutter guards in place and tight to the gutter. I'm 73 years old and installed the 250' in 2 days of 95 degree Florida weather on pretty bad gutters so the average do it yourself-er should have no problem installing these gutter guards. As a side note I chose the Waterlock guards over the MicroMesh guards due to greater flexibility in conforming to my battered gutters. The MicroMesh would have been my first choice because they filter better and pass more water but were too rigid for my situation. Also, if you have pine trees with needles then the MicroMesh guards would be a better choice. All that said, I'll report back on how well these pass water and how well they hold up.

to say i'm quite pleased would be an understatement. i ordered the small sample piece first to see how they were and make sure they'd work. i not only got my order quickly, just 2 days later, but they sent me two sample pieces, the one i ordered as well an an extra sample of the micromesh style. once i confirmed the basic ones would work nice for me, i placed an order for 100ft and got my order THE NEXT DAY somehow. opening the package, includedwas several very detailed instruction/installation sheets. stuff from china that you need instructions for usually come with nothing useful/helpful at all, and these are as simple to install as can be and dont need any instructions, and yet came with several very detailed sheets. and while the small bag of screws didnt last to do the entire 100ft, when i contacted the company on how to buy an additional bag, they replied saying they'd send me one out free of charge, and i just got it in the mail today. i cant say enough good things about this whole process.the ONLY con i have is the backside flap of the guards were pressed together and needed to be opened back up before installing. this was simply done by running a small screwdriver down the channel first to get it started, then run another larger screwdriver down it the same way to open it back up the way it needed to be for install. thats it, thats my only negative. speedy shipping, great product, and great customer service. i have more gutters that need to be covered the same way, so i'll be buying more of these, no doubt. it takes a lot to make me really satisfied with home improvement stuff, but i must say, i'm beyond satisfied with these.

As a prior home builder I can attest to the easy installation procedure. This product can also be custom adapted with very little effort. This gutter guard is not made of cheap materials. I can easily see this lasting much longer than the warranty guarantees. The actual design is quite ingenious in many ways. NO more cleaning out your gutters. I have always hated doing that task. Well worth the small price.

Love that these are made in USA. Needed these for new home purchased that did not have these installed. Live in and around woods so lots of debris falls into gutters. Installed these myself and they went on great and material is thick and high quality. Confident these will keep tree leaves and debris out of gutters. Extremely satisfied with shipping and arrival of product. Would purchase these again and highly recommend.

Just finished installing 124 feet of these water lock gutter 6” covers around my house. Could not have been much easier. Took around five hours total over two days. The only trouble was positioning my ladder so I could snap them in place. I have three types of roofing—-asphalt shingles, composite(fake plastic slate), and a 30 foot stretch of copper over our porch. Same basic principal for each— minor learning curve, and then easy installation. Plenty of screws, actually had about half of them left over, and they were slightly magnetic, which made it fairly easy with my cordless driver. Maybe 5 fell out, but again lots of screws left over. Overall, very satisfied with the ease (and I’m 75), and the price. Almost invisible afterwards. Easy Peezy! Would definitely recommend.
