About this item

  • Tungsten Bead - gets fly into the feeding lane faster
  • Jig hook – less snags and better hook ups as hook rides upward
  • Barbless hook – better penetration and less damage to the fish

Tungsten Bead Head Micro Woolly Bugger Jig Fly
This maybe the most popular streamer pattern ever. Probably because it can be used in all waters (ponds, lakes, slow rivers, fast rivers). This impressionistic pattern imitates everything; including minnows, sculpin, leeches, crayfish and anything else. Your fly box should have several of these from large to small and different colors. The secret to this fly is the marabou tail it creates a lifelike action that any trout, bass or any fish can't resist.
The Tungsten Bead Head Micro Wolly Bugger Jig Fly is tied on a barbless Hanak jig hook. The total length of the #10 is about 1.375". They are mini versions of the big boys. The construction of this fly is a proven formula to catch more fish:
Tungsten Bead - gets fly into the feeding lane faster
Jig hook – less snags and better hook ups as hook rides upward
Barbless hook – better penetration and less damage to the fish
Our 6 pack Assortment includes 2 flies each of size 10, 12, 14.

These have become my go-to fly here in Central Texas. I’ve caught rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, Guadalupe bass, and a ton of sunfish on them. I just bought a second box because I’ve lost a couple on snags or dropped in a river when trying to tie them on. When all else fails, an olive wolly bugger usually works, IMHO.

4.5 stars. These attract and catch fish. I’ve caught small and largemouth bass, rainbow and brook trout on these.Only problem is they don’t last as long as I’d like. Some last a couple fishing sessions even after catching a handful of fish. Others unravel after just a few casts having not caught anything. That said, even when the heads come loose, and the fly is down to a hook and feathers, these things hook up. I recommend getting a dozen at a time.
