I got this to replace a couple of fan chains that have broken over the years. This works perfectly well as replacement string. The plus side is I was able to make them however long I wanted as well. 55 yards of material is so much more than I'll ever use in my life. It'll end up being used for crafting projects at some point.The handles included are smooth, easy to thread on, and look nice.
