I needed a new power input on my Casio keyboard. I bought this set of six power jacks for $10.90. They worked great. The Jacks use what seems to be high-grade steel with precision threading that was easy to work with. When mounted it was very sturdy. Transmits power.

These are robust jacks and plugs. I used them for connecting marine electronics to 12V battery stations. They worked so well that I ordered a second set to have on hand to set up other devices in the future.

I bought these because of the metal housing and lower profile than the plastic bodied ones. One application I had was to convert an older pedal that only runs on 9-volt battery to connect via dc power supply.I didn't consider that most modern guitar effect pedals utilize a "center negative" connection. I figured it would be a simple process to just reverse the leads upon soldering. This works fine BUT if your pedal has a metal housing, doing this will result in the "positive" side shorting out when mounted in the case. It took a minute for me to realize what was happening because I tested my connections before installing this metal dc power socket into the pedal's case. Once I did that, I had no power.I've wired tons of guitars and related items but didn't even think about this issue. My lesson....never start doing wiring until I've had my morning coffee!
