I use this regularly in an auto body shop as an alternative to the more expensive kits that use a dedicated tool and hub system with replaceable abrasives (Dynabrade, others). I've used the more expensive systems, but the new shop that I'm in doesn't have any of those to borrow, so I picked this up.It removes pinstriping and emblem adhesive backing no problem, but takes a little bit longer than the Dynabrade style. I almost prefer this for pinstripes, because I can chuck it up in my drill or smaller air tool, set it for lower speed, and settle into a productive technique. The width is actually a little nicer for pinstripes than the Dynabrade, which has a much wider wheel and tends to smear quite easily, particularly once the wheel has worn in a bit. This AES eraser stays fairly hard throughout use, and perhaps handles heat better - The residue cleanup is easier in some cases, just brush it off (sometimes the cheap wheel replacements for the Dynabrade are so soft that they push sticker and eraser residue into the work, requiring solvent cleanup before continuing). The first time I used it, it felt a little off-balance, but a little higher speed and some angling of the tool and it evened out very quickly - After that I was able to move a lot quicker down the panel while maintaining smooth control. These wheels do wear out a little fast, but I've heard AES does a pretty good job making these things compared to other similar brands that wear out even faster. I nearly got the 3M eraser, but prefer the 1/4" arbor option on the AES eraser (related items), and it's almost 1/3rd the price.

I have to admit, I was really nervous about using this product. I wanted to get rid of some pinstriping on a Toyota 4Runner and went to YouTube to see how folks go about removing it. A couple of videos showed how well these eraser wheels work for that sort of task. I figured the price was right and it looked easy, so why not? I chose this brand because the listing said it was USA made and it was half the price of the 3M wheels. It ended up working perfectly. I was able to remove the pinstripes, which ran the full length of the 4Runner on each side and I also was able to remove the leftover adhesive after I removed a couple of the badges on the sides of the SUV. I still have a bit of wheel left, so one was enough. I can attest to the fact that these things do burn up quickly and they make a ton of rubber dust and debris, so I recommend wearing a breathing mask and safety glasses when using it. I had to use a blower and foxtail brush to remove all the dust after I was finished. To use the wheel, I put it into a Black and Decker cordless drill and had to swap the batteries out a few times on the drill but it worked as advertised. One other note, I was scared it would damage the paint in some way, but it did not harm the paint at all. It leaves a smudgy swirl when finished, so I just wiped it with a wet towel, dried it, then applied some car wax and rubbed it off with a towel when dry. Car looks good as new and pinstripe free! Can't believe what a bargain this product is. Body shop would have cost 10x as much.

I bought this item to remove the adhesive from car emblems and pinstriping. I had some really stubborn glue leftover from old pinstriping. It took more than a couple passes to get it all off, but it looks good now.I've also used it to remove mounting/backing tape behind emblems and nameplates on cars. It takes that off very quickly and easily. One pass and you'd never know it was there.Originally I though the included Arbor could be mounted on an air grinder/sander, but it does not fit the standard size. As the description says, this Arbor is designed only to be used with adjustable drills.Another thing to watch out for, you cannot press too hard with this wheel. If there is too much friction, or it gets too hot, the wheel itself will start grinding off, instead of the adhesive you're trying to remove. Worst-case you just let it cool down, or make a few extra passes instead of one hard one. This is a very useful tool for anyone doing bodywork, or frequently having to remove adhesives/tape from delicate surfaces.
