We needed these for shipping some items across the country, as well as storing at home. They are good quality, and the price was very competitive for similar items. Overall, can highly recommend if this is a need for you.

I got these primarily for storing wheat berries, and they’ve been great for keeping everything dry and fresh. The color-changing indicator is a lifesaver—it takes the guesswork out of knowing when they need reactivating. Speaking of which, I love that these can be reused! A quick zap in the microwave or a low-temp oven cycle, and they’re good as new.The individual packaging makes them easy to use, and I appreciate that they’re food-grade. Perfect for pantry storage, electronics, or anything moisture-sensitive. No complaints—just a solid, effective product that does exactly what it should!

……and damp air can be a problem with tools and small instruments. Having a sack of these available is a great idea, but be aware, once you open the package these packets start absorbing moisture.Be careful when drying these out, it is far too easy to overcook them if you aren’t paying attention.

Work well. You get a lot of packets which are a good size, so you only have to use 1 in most areas. These are easy to use and the silica beads are well secured in the individual pouches. Also very easy to reset and reuse.

I use these in my protein powder. They are not huge, so they don’t take up a whole lot of room, and I feel secure that these are food grade and will not cause harm.

When I'm reviewing products I like to push things a bit to see how they perform. I set one of these packets out in the open air in a dry climate (humidity outside is 10% today). It turned green within a day, so that worked. Then I wanted to wait to write the review until I had dried it and tried again. So, after checking the instructions on the outer package, I put it in the microwave for 10 minutes. PLEASE don't do that! The plastic piece on the ceiling of the microwave melted, and some of the silica beads burned, while the packet they were in stuck to the turntable. This is partly on me, but I misinterpreted the direction "Medium-Heat" (which shouldn't have the hyphen printed there on the instructions) as meaning from medium to high heat/power. I will still leave the packet out another day or two to see if it turns green again, and I will still use the remainder for the purpose I got them for, which is to absorb moisture in 5-gallon buckets of flour and sugar. That they are reusable is seriously great, just be careful how you reset them.

I am using these to help keep my 3D printing filament dry, and so far they are working great. I have not had to "recharge" or dry them out, but if they fail to recharge, I will update my review. I have them in sealed container with hydrometers to monitor, and they actively took the moisture content from the 50s percentile down to the 30s. So I am very happy with them for the cost!

So we live in a very humid environment. Even inside our storage shed it gets very humid because there's no insulation. We have some of those tough storage totes that you can pick up at any Costco, Sam's club, Lowe's etc. (the black ones with yellow lids). I keep mostly holiday decorations in them, but since they're in storage most of the year I worry about moisture damage so I put these things in them. I really like this kind because it's easy to tell when they need to be recharged (the color changes). All I have to do is pop open the tote and I can see at a glance if they need to be recharged. So if you are storing anything in a humid environment, I'd definitely recommend these to keep your items safe from moisture.
