The LCD over-ranges at 200 F. The item description says it goes up to 230 F. Above 200 F the display shows "HHH". Other than that the items works well if you don't need to see a temp above 200 F. I bought to monitor an espresso machine grouphead temp which can sometimes go up to ~212 - 215 F.

These little digital thermometers are very handy. They are not absolutely precise, but they are very close. I have analog fridge thermometers, which serve me well. But, being able to see a digital temperature reading for my fridge & freezer is quite helpful. I would definitely buy these again.

I got this set of little Thermometers to have an accurate guide to the temperature throughout my house. We just got a new furnace and I've been wanting to track how effective it is. These little guys are great. I love how tiny they are. You can put them pretty much anywhere and they don't take up space and they are there when you need them. My husband likes them so much that he took two of them to use one in the garage and another in his office. These were exactly what I had been looking for and I'm so happy I tried them.

I am using these to monitor the temperatures of my refrigerators and freezers. I can verify the internal temperatures at a glance without having to open the doors to check.
