When I was making my first batch of aluminum, I was using one of these tongs to pick the crucible up and pour it out. With the tongs I was pouring out with, I was holding it really tight because it doesn't fit the crucible well what it says it is designed for. The size didn't really bother me but it did when one of the tongs cracked because I had to do that. For the price tag I paid for those, I really shouldn't expect them to crack so quickly. Really don't recommend.

my crucible is a #8 and it is a bit small fir it, the pouring tongs work fine its the lifting tongs that I have a issue with. the add says that it will fit a #8 but it is misleading.
