This Crankcase Vent Tube 4854265 is designed to mount onto the rear port of the engine's valve cover, running from the crankcase to the intake manifold. It is made from durable plastic with rubber ends for easy and secure mounting on Jeep Wrangler TJ and Jeep Cherokee models with a 4.0L engine.

Considering this was supposed to fit my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport, technically is does but it is clearly not the correct part.

Almost, but not quite. Has the wrong bend for the crankcase breather to connect and I don't want to break this replacement. I'll have to take the heat gun and correct this. Otherwise, it would receive 5 stars.

I had to heat it up with a heat gun and bend it a little to not deform the rubber coupling that hooks it to the valve cover vent. Other then that it seems to work fine. 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Too early to tell if it’s durable. Fits 01 XJ Cherokee.Nov 2023 update. The larger end plastic rubber hose at the valve cover collapsed and causes an air leak (a loud whistling). Excessive Fuel Consumption may be a symptom, that triggers an Engine Check Light.I noticed other reviews with the same problem.Seller and Manufacturer, please note and test this item, It is failing in just weeks of installation.
