Product Description

Prdocut Description:

A bike headset is a component of a bicycle that connects the fork to the frame and allows for steering of the front wheel. It consists of several bearings and races that allow the fork to rotate smoothly in the frame's head tube. The headset also helps to absorb shocks and vibrations from the road, improving the bike's overall comfort and stability. The threadless headsets have a smooth steerer tube and clamp onto the fork using a system of spacers and a compression cap.

Our headset includes all the necessary parts including star nut, compression ring and bolt, cups, sealed bearings and crown race, top cap etc.

I purchased this headset to replace the one on my MTB. It went on easily, is smooth, and included the crown race and the star but needed for installation. The quality seems as good as head sets priced two or three times more.

The bearing quality seems to be about average but the inner races are quite thin so I decided not to install this on my mountain bike. They weren't rough or smooth, just something in-between that seems perfectly functional just not like something that would last. The included crown race is the split type, so it's easy to install or remove from a fork crown. It is also lightweight, for better or worse depending on your application. I didn't need to included cups for my application. The included star nut is also what I'd call just average quality.Overall, it seems a bit overpriced given the mediocre quality but may be worthwhile if you need one of the included pieces that can be hard to find alone, or if your application is something along the lines of a cruiser/street bike or maybe even road bike.
