Because these are black and plastic, they work great for watering birds in the winter. Usually I add warm water in the morning, and if the sun is shining on them it keeps it melted for a long time. Plus, theses are shallow so easy for small birds to get a drink. I cannot put out heated dishes right now as my 2 GSD pups will destroy the electric cords going to the waterers, so these are working great.

Nice big saucers for big pots by my garage doors, it’s deep so catches water so no stains on my concrete. Good thick plastic, should be very durable.
