My 4 year old grandson enjoyed these at his birthday party along with the volcano gems.

My toddler granddaughter was delighted with the multi color eggs. She had a bit of difficulty unraveling the toy dinosaurs but was overall delighted with the figures once done.

I bought these for my grandson for Easter. He loved them. He is 5 years old and loves dinosaurs he loved being able to transform them from the egg to the dinosaur. Highly recommend.

Bought these for my grandson. The concept is cool but the quality is crap! Very disappointed in how cheaply made they are.

These are extremely well designed to collapse back into the egg. This is something that my girls, who are 3 and 5 years old, absolutely love. They love hatchimals and dinosaurs so I thought they would enjoy these. I was correct. These are a BIG hit for a birthday present. They do come apart if a child twists them the wrong way, but it's pretty simple, takes a second, to put them back together. My 5 year old has no trouble with them breaking at all. My one year old breaks the limbs off after playing with them for a few minutes and my 3 year old brings them to me about every 30 minutes to have me snap a leg back into place. I know that they won't last terribly long, however as much as the kids love these, I am very satisfied!

Very flimsy. Triceratops’ frill broke off the first time my 3yo daughter and I played with it. She was not being rough at all, and the frill popped out of the “hinges” the second time she unfolded it. Of course, triceratops are her favorite so this created instant tears. Even though i can pop the frill back in place, it comes out anytime it’s folded or unfolded. I would send these back for a replacement (although I doubt it would be much better) but my daughter loves them already and i can’t take them away from her. Don’t waste your money on this one.

Cute Easter gift. My son likes these and plays with them. I was a little hesitant to buy them based on other reviews. They're definitely cheap in quality but I haven't had a ton of issues. The only part that constantly comes off is the triceratops neck frill. Other than that, they fold up into an egg and are fun to play with!

My son loves dinosaur eggs, but being just shy of 2 yrs old, he doesn't have the patience for those dissolving eggs that take 24-48 hours for the dinosaur to hatch. I needed a good size dinosaur egg that he could pull the dino out and put it back in. He loves the scene in Land Before Time when all the eggs are hatching (Little Foot and Spike are his favorites!) These are perfect! He can pop the plastic eggs open safely and repeatedly "hatch" the dinosaurs. The only thing I wish is that the eggs were more opaque so that the dinosaur couldn't be seen when it is inside the egg, but I have considered painting the inside of the egg to make it more of a surprise when he pops it open to reveal the dinosaur. Not sure how the paint will do on the slick plastic though. Overall they are a great little toy for younger kids in fun colors and big enough not to be a joking hazard :)Update: my son still loves these eggs 8 months later. He plays with them all the time! As many countless times as he has opened and closed the eggs, they still work great! And the dinosaurs have held up reslly well to a rough 2 year old playing with them.

I was a little nervous, from the reviews, but my son really wanted these. I went ahead and ordered them, and I am glad I did. They are actually really cool! No, they are not incredibly durable, but I have a feeling most of the issues with durability have had to do with trying to rotate the pivot points beyond the set points. The way they collapse, there is an endpoint to the rotation. As long as you realize that, and the child realizes it as well, they work great. They are not really hard plastic, but for the purpose of a collapsible dinosaur, it is neat to collapse them down and open them back up again. My son is really enjoying playing with them. I warned him that they were "fragile" (they are not really, but that word goes a long way with him), and that if they broke they would not be replaced, and he has since been treating them with a lot of respect. The age 3+ might be a little misleading, as this is probably hard to explain to a 3 year old, but my 5 year old has had no problem learning how they work without breaking them. As long as you buy this knowing they are not a toy to be really rough with, I would recommend.
