I broke the first lock I tried to set the combination on. They are lightweight so some strength had to be sacrificed. I was able to set the combinations on the other 2 locks just fine. Fortunately I really only needed 2 of them. They will keep someone from easily walking off with your stuff but they won't hold up if someone really prys on them. That's all I expected was a deterrent to theft. If someone really wants my snowboard they could just cut the cable or pry on the lock but most people won't get that far. They will see the lock and move on.

These are not robust locks or heavy duty cables to be used to lock up highly valuable or important things. However, if you’re just trying to keep honest people honest this should do the job. We have kayaks across the street by our lakeshore and it’d be possible for some drunk person at night to try and take them out on the water. By locking them together and to the stand it’d be difficult for this to happen. If someone shows up with tools to steal them it’s not going to stop that but it’s unlikely in our neighborhood. The locks were easy to change the combinations on. They lock and unlock without problems. The cables have a nice coating and no wires sticking through to poke hands.Overall these were exactly what I expected at this price and I’m quite happy with them.

Lightweight cable with plastic sleeve and a 3 combo lock that doesn't seem terribly sturdy, but does what I need. I didn't buy this to prevent someone with bolt cutters from cutting the cable or a hammer from breaking the lock. I bought this because I want to be able to lock my helmet and jacket to my vintage Vespa without fear of someone just grabbing my gear and taking off. This will prevent the "theft on convenience". If someone really wants my stuff, they'll get it, but this prevents grab and dash situations. Completely happy with purchase.

Product is grate. The lock is hard to set but once you figure it out it’s easy.
