I needed aaaa 3/8 inch drill bit for using certain wall anchors. I would be great if I had in a 1/4 inch quick shank. This did and it came in a package of 6 for a little more than buying one at the local store. Great buy! The easy cut split point works good for drywall.

I classify this as a "value purchase".For the money, the quality, features, and performance of the bits are excellent.I have used these bits for metal, and wood and the bits work well.1/4" hex shank bits can be made with either a steel or aluminum hex shank. My experience with bits that have aluminum hex shanks is not good because I have had many bits "spin out" of the shank. After all, the aluminum does not hold the bit as well as a steel hex shank. These bits have steel and I have never had a bit with a steel hex shank spin out. The feature of 135 Degree Easy Cut Split Points is a definite plus. It makes starting a hole in steel without first center-punching the hole location easy. Also, the marking on each bit to identify its size is the best I have seen on any bit. Very easy to read.I have seen complaints that the bits are not long enough. If I need to drill a hole where my drill gets in the way, I simply put a bit holder in the chuck to make the bit longer. As for the depth of the hole that the bits can drill, I have yet to run into a situation where the drill depth of the bits was too short.

I bought this to drill 3 long holes to secure a vice to a very thick wooden workbench. Am currently searching for other projects as an excuse to drill more. Nothing like a long, fresh, sharp bit to make an amateur feel like a pro.
