As a carpenter I find that these pencils are a must have. There are however 2 faults. 1 is the lead sharpener works on some and not on others and 2nd is if u drop it the lead will break inside the pencil but other than that I love them

I really like this pencil! Okay, I’ve only had it for two days but it was exactly what I needed to install an outdoor security camera. The narrow, long shaft of the pencil fit into the mounting hole recesses of the mounting bracket and the thicker lead didn't break as I marked the hole locations. Without this pencil, I would have been using a screw to try and mark the location for drilling pilot holes. This pencil made it much easier!Another feature that I like is the lead sharpener stored in the head of the pencil so that it is always available. It would have been nice if the pencil could store extra leads.Speaking of extra leads; the storage cases are very difficult to open. I suppose that could be a good thing if you are carrying these around in a tool box, but in my shop, it would be nice if they were a bit easier to open.Regardless, every DIYer, woodworker or tradesperson should own one of these, in my humble opinion.

I'm a carpenter and I either use round Home Depot pencils or the 5.6mm jumbo mechanical. This pencil is the perfect size for me. The writing end is a tapered down shaft which makes getting into areas easy. There's a decent sharpener on the end. It comes with a bunch of extra lead. The body of the pencil is plastic and I will eventually step on it and crack it but I'll wrap some electrical tape around it and keep using it. I really like this pencil.
