I bought 4 of these for my garden gates because my chickens were jumping on the post and going where they shouldn't. The jazzed up my plain white fence and I will love the tashed look that will happen over time. Hubby instaled them in no time!

im impressed with the strength of the guage copper. It will easily tolerate those “pullers” needing that extra stability when grabbing it. Not like others who’s ball would bend at the neck.

I do not know what alloy is used in this. I know it is not copper (will not react to sulfuric acid) but it is not plated iron/steel. SR

My husband queried how much I must have spent on two of these. He was surprised and didn’t really believe what they cost! They add a lot of bling for not a lot of money to our old revamped deck! Yes, these are copper and well made. Gorgeous.

Finial snugly fits on end of fence post, of nominal size 4" x 4" (actual size, about 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"). Looks smart. Sturdy, appears to be real copper.The two screws which attach it to the post are copper-plated steel; some of the reviews say they are copper. No, they are magnetic, and I don't think pure copper screws would be strong enough to function properly.After three months in place, it is still bright & shiny. I expect it to dull, then turn green over the next year or two, but last for many years. Will try to update my review as it ages.
