It consists of several bearings and races that allow the fork to rotate smoothly in the frame's head tube. The headset also helps to absorb shocks and vibrations from the road, improving the bike's overall comfort and stability. The threadless headsets have a smooth steerer tube and clamp onto the fork using a system of spacers and a compression cap.

Initially, I felt very reassured being able to check my measurements with the chartsinstructions included on the site. Headset came packaged as it would be installed. Note: I did purchase a head set installation tool also. Using the headset tool, everything was installed in minutes. Very satisfied, when I need to replace my next headset I will purchase it from this company.
