Thought they would cover the key hole as the originals key did they were too short? Maybe my new keys were too long?

These fit my keys for a 2024 ranger sp570 crew mid size and a 2015 Polaris rzr1000 xp just fine. They do seem to be very soft material, much softer than factory. So soft I thought it might rip just putting my key back on the ring but they work just fine and aren't $12 each like the factory covers. I just put them on my spares and replaced one that rotted away so far so good.
