Took my old Xbox 360 out to play and 2 of the controllers would keep turning off despite new batteries. Bought these in hope that I wouldn’t have to buy new controllers and they worked like a charm. Haven’t had any issues with them since.

These might work better than the original battery packs, the springs are stiffer which makes it harder to put on, but provides for better battery contact.

Corroded batteries burned my old controller and a simple cover replacement solved it

Item came in a timely manner. It was exactly as described. I will be purchasing again. This item will save you money in the long run. The metal pieces inside the batter cover can become corroded. If cleaning them doesnt work you would have to replace the controller.I bought this battery cover and it looks like original part, as soon as I put batteries in and placed in controller it worked. Now I dont have buy a replacement controller as they are becoming difficult to find now and the price is almost the same as Xbox One controller unless you get one that is not Xbox brand.

My dog ended up chewing my old battery cover and this fit on perfectly. No issues at all. I use rechargeable batteries for my controls and as a result take the cover on and off almost every time I use it to swap out charged and noncharged batteries and it hasnt shown any wear and tear after more than a couple weeks of use. The black colored one doesnt match spot on with the OG controllers black but it didnt matter much to me. That migh have also been just because my controllers are faded after owning them for more than a decade.

My controllers are pretty old and they had been having a lot of connection issues. They kept turning off in the middle of games even if I had just put a fresh set of batteries in them. I was thinking I would have to buy a new controller, but I saw that it would cost around $40, and I wasn't willing to fork over that much for a controller. So I did some reading up on the issue and some people reported that after they replaced the battery covers, the issues stopped occurring. I had noticed that the battery covers on my controllers were kind of loose, so I decided to give this product a shot since it's pretty cheap. Needless to say, I haven't had the issue since I got the replacements. The battery covers feel pretty much like the old ones, and they stay in place very well. I'm glad I replaced the covers instead of getting a new controller. It saved me a lot of money.

I recently tried to use my Xbox 360 controller after a long time sitting idle - the batteries had leaked and corroded the metal connections inside of the cover, making it almost impossible to turn on. Attempts to clean/repair it failed, and I really didn't want to shell out the money for a new controller. Then I found these.I want to be up front here and say they're not perfect duplicates. With the official Microsoft cover, the batteries sit snug in the cover. With this replacement, they will slide out quickly and easily - be careful when attaching the cover to the controller. On that note, the cover is just a bit harder to snap on than the original.Additionally, if (like me) you frequently turn off the controller by quickly unsnapping the battery pack, bear in mind that the loose batteries keep the connection a bit longer so you'll have to pull it out farther to turn it off.Because of these issues I'm giving it a 4* review instead of 5*, but these minor quibbles aside, the covers work well and are a significantly cheaper option than replacing the entire controller!

I have not played my xbox 360 in a couple years, however, my young son wanted a game system to play putt putt, pinball etc that was on the old system. I had lost the original battery covers as had been using rechargeables which no longer worked. I checked local stores like Gamestop, walmart, target and nobody carried these battery covers which are needed to install batteries in the controller. I gave these a try and they work great, snapped right in like new OEM parts. Now I have 4 working controllers, the bad part is my son is way better than me at putt putt and pinball...but we are having fun.

These fit the controller well, and seem to hold power while shaking/striking the controller. However, they are not OEM quality, as detailed below (compared to OEM and Diageng model). Also, they were shipped in a frosted ziplock baggy, inside a bubble wrap envelope.1) The terminal contacts are symmetrical, simple single bends on both sides. The OEM backs are asymmetrical, with the negative side (positive contact) having two extra bends to cradle the battery nipple. The Diageng back I tried previously had asymmetrical bends, but the bend was too high. Impacts to the controller caused power to drop and I believe the contacts were to blame.2) The safety "switch" in the middle of the pack does nothing, and is there for show/fit. The internal contacts are one piece, rather than two. On the OEM part, the middle switch makes contact when fully seated in the controller. Depressing the release button and lifting the back just a little will power off the controller. The Diageng back I tried previously had a working switch like the OEM back (it was not the issue with power drops, by the way, because I tested it with leads jumpered). You have to remove this back completely to power off a controller with the Xinkeen model. Also, I would not keep batteries installed in the unit when unattached to the controller, lest something makes contact across the batteries (this is why they tell you not to carry loose batteries as well, forming an unloaded circuit is bad).3) This unit does seem to have a slightly larger release spring like OEM. Diageng's spring was smaller.4) No internal rubber pad exists to pad the batteries. This pad is in front of the release pushrod in the OEM unit. Diageng did not have one either. Batteries have more movement inside the backThis is a much simpler design than the original back. As such, they seem overpriced for what you get and how they are packaged. So, in case you were thinking, "these are slightly more, they must be better", you would be, at least, partially wrong. Who knows? Maybe this simplified design is much better than what Microsoft specced? Somehow I doubt that.
