I got these to revive some athletic shoes that had become dingy. These are an absolute must have! They made my athletic shoes look almost new! They are a great way to extend the life of your shoes.Pros:+They're super easy to use. The only prep that I did was remove the insole and shoestrings. Literally, just put a shoe in each bag and put through a regular wash cycle.+The inside of these bags have little microfiber "fingers" that seem to gently scrub the shoes. I noticed no unusual wear spots. The fabric was clean. The soles were clean, although my husband's shoes had some staining. Not an issue with the bags.+The kit comes with a little brush to spot pre-clean. I haven't had to use, but am glad to have.+I like that the zipper on the bags have a little sleeve for the zipper handle. No clanging around in the washing machine. In fact, I noticed no unusual bumping/knocking in the washing machine. Sounded just like a standard wash.+(other than the waterproofing issue noted below) My shoes dried very quickly. I estimate maybe an hour or 2. I set them outdoors with the tongues pulled up.+The bags themselves also dry very quickly after use. I just laid them flat in the sun/hung them on a clothesline.Cons/Critiques:-None, per se. However, I will caution users about shoes that have waterproofing or waterproof material. I washed my son's hiking shoes and they came out of the wash very wet on the inside. To the point that they were dripping. I have not noticed this issue with shoes that have a fabric upper.

The second photo shows my machine washable slippers, which both fit easily in one shoe washing bags.Which actually bring me to some washing advice with these: I made sure to wash with these 3x before writing this review so here are some tips!1. Wash with towels or other “cushioning” laundry. (Obviously don’t wash with anything super nice—but it helps to add some towels or a spare blanket or light washable bathmat. Basically anything to cushion your shoes so they’re not barreling along in your washer at full volume and velocity. (That said, the shoe bag itself does cushion things quite a lot compared to NOT putting shoes in this bag, it’s just helpful to have other items in there too.)2. No shoe washing bags is a miracle worker. You still need to use the included brush / scrubber to loosen any big chunks of dirt, rocks, or debris from your shoes. If your shoes are really stained or you’ve left them with dirt long enough for more lasting stains, I recommend using some shoe cleaner or Tide spray (or something similar), then following up with the washing machine.3. Lastly, I highly recommend you put the tiniest drop of laundry detergent INSIDE the bag before starting your load. This doesn’t replace whatever detergent you’d normally add to your washer—I’ve just tried with and without, and I noticed my shoes came out cleaner by doing this small thing.Hope this helps!

These bags are durable and spacious, easily fitting various shoe types and sizes. They keep my sneakers protected while in the washer, ensuring they come out clean without damage.

I was excited about receiving this bag to wash my shoes because the very worst part of the process is them banging around the washing machine and getting beaten up while beating everything else up in the bargain. That it was supposed to help make your shoes get even more clean seemed like a great bonus. It delivered on a lot of this, but not everything. I'm still excited to have it, though.First of all, the size is big enough to accommodate both shoes of whatever size you are wearing. Size 13? No problem. The zipper is good quality and can be tucked in to prevent snagging on other items in the wash. There's a sturdy hook for carrying or hanging.I've used it on 2 pair of shoes so far.One is a pair of a well known natural fiber washable brand that I have been wearing a lot and really needed a lift. I removed the inner sole. The shoes came out brighter and unharmed. There was no fuzz from the nubs inside the bag, nor was there any fuzz left on anything in the laundry with the shoe bag. There wasn't even any fuzz in the lint screen after I dried the empty bag. The shoes look brighter. I did not pretreat with the really nifty little soap brush they include because I was more interested in seeing what would happen without any help. There were still some slightly dirty spots left on the white soles. I will have to go back with the little brush and wash that part by hand.The other pair is running shoes I've been wearing since July. I wear them on a track that is partially unpaved and kind of icky, especially after a rain. The shoes themselves are light in color with white soles. I took out the inner sole and loosened the laces. I'm lazy. I didn't take the laces off. These shoes came out bright with perfect white trim. Even the soles were 90% cleaner. These are, of course, clunkier than the first pair, but I did not hear them knocking around in the wash. The shoes did not get overly soaked either. I washed them with towels.I've got 3 more pair cued up: another 2 pair of the washable natural fiber ones and a pair of sandals with rubber soles and fabric straps. All are definitely due, and I have no qualms at all about throwing them in the machine with this new toy in my laundry arsenal.Will your shoes come 100% clean? No, probably not. You will see a difference, though, without doing the shoes any harm, and without harming your washing machine drum or anything else in the wash with your shoes. Do you need those nubs to help with the cleaning? Frankly, I think they act more as cushioning than cleaning power, but I'll take that happily. I think they also help keep the shoes from getting sopping wet. Drying overnight was easy and because of the cushioning, they were not bent out of shape in any way.This is not going to work miracles, but it is well worth the cost. I will be much less reluctant to wash fabric shoes from now on.
