super strong and well made dock hinges. only minor issue was one was welded a bit off so I had to "finess" it a bit...but very happy non the less.

I've been building a floating dock and have a couple sections completed. I used dock connectors (of a different brand) to attach the sections. When I saw this one, the picture looked just like the ones I had been using, so I ordered it.I was very disappointed when I received it because it was smaller than the ones I was using, so much so that I have no use for it. I have a lake home on a small lake and my dock is small. The connectors I used on it before this are much bigger and heavier duty than this one. I can't imagine who would have a dock small enough to use this?The photo I put on here shows the type of dock connectors I had been using previously (on the left) compared to this one that I just received (on the right). In addition, my prior dock connector have backer plates and this one does not.This is partly my fault for not paying more close attention to the dimensions (4" x 4") when I order this one. All the dock connectors I've seen (and I've shopped them a lot) are the size of the ones I previously used on my dock. Because this one looked exactly the same in the photo in the product description, I assumed it was the same size as the ones I already had been using. I have no choice but to return this one.

Used these to connect a floating 16 foot long by 4 foot wide walkway to a 12x16 foot floating dock. Sturdy and well made. Can easily disconnect walkway from dock to remove the walkway. Had a major storm last night and these hinges survived.

Ordered the #Joewunuz floating dock hinge to replace one that was broken/bent when our lake flooded 6 feet about full pond. There are three hinges, but the center hinge was old and was the one that broke. Unfortunately, the holes did not line up with the original hinge, but I was able to drill new holes and used new stainless carriage bolts to mount this hinge in place. The quality is exceptional, and I can see this hinge lasting the lifetime of the dock. Please note that the hinge does not come with any mounting hardware, so be prepared to purchase eight carriage bolts and nuts separately.
