This item is totally defective. I receive both bulbs and they met the criteria for "9W UVC Replacement Bulb" and did fit in my FishCheers YUP-909 just fine but neither bulb would power on. For a sanity check on unit power, I put the old "original bulb" back in, and sure enough it comes on but it's not as good as it was when brand new so it's clear that it did need to be replaced. Just to be on the safe side I tried once more but both new bulbs in and not even a glimmer, totally dead. I do not recommend these bulbs, I could see one of them being maybe defective but both? I'm going with a completely different brand now 100% not satisfied with build quality and the clear lack of testing of the product. Read the other reviews sounds like there is a definitely reliability issue on these.

I use this in my UV light that it installed into my furnace. Only problem is that these bulbs do not seem to last very long, about 1-2 years.

I use it in my pond filter. The price is about 1/3 the cost at the pond supply store. I Only get about about 5 months of use out of them. Do not howlong the new ones will last but I will find out.

I can't comment on longevity yet but if they end up having a short life I will update my review.These fit perfectly in my UV filter and seem to be working well.

Building quality is decent, but these UV bulbs work well. I cannot comment on longevity because we have them near an HVAC heater core where they are exposed to rather high temperatures. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. Just be sure to clean them with rubbing alcohol and handle them with gloves when installing. I've found it best not to get skin oil or fingerprints on them, as these might cause bulb failure when used with long cycle times and / or in a high temperature environment. Another thing, be careful not to look at the light from these bulbs or let the light contact your skin, as unshielded UV-C can be very dangerous to eyes and not too good for skin either.
